“MiClub will bring an extremely professional approach to our affiliated clubs with their range of products and software solutions at a premium level.”

Golf WA CE, Gary Thomas said. “Golf WA is pleased to continue the terrific partnership with MiClub, adding huge benefit to our Preferred Supplier Program as the third partner signing this year.” As a long-standing operator, MiClub products have evolved with the Australian golf industry to improve golf operations for clubs and courses of all sizes.

MiClub’s focus has always been improving the game through technology and practical management solutions. Our clients and close ties to the Australian golf community have given us the direction needed to constantly develop new solutions that streamline operations for managers and improve golf experiences for players.

When Golf WA presented us with a new way to help further support Australian golf clubs through the Club Health initiative, we were thrilled to help out. The Club Health initiative is a management support program established to improve the financial performance and capability of Australian golf clubs and facilities. You can find support resources on the Golf Australia website with information on strategic planning, financial management, membership and marketing.

Peter Maddison, the Managing Director of MiClub commented, “The Club Health initiative is a great fit for MiClub sponsorship. When we look at new products to develop, an overall guiding consideration is if they will enhance profitability for our clients through cost savings or revenue generation. We intend to play an active role in Club Health events to ensure we deliver to WA Golf Clubs”.

Our partnership with Golf WA has helped us better connect with West Australian golf organisations. Together we have reached out to many clubs and courses to offer new ways to improve operations. A few years ago, MiClub released OneGolf. An affordable golf management software that reduces time-consuming administrative tasks for clubs run by volunteers or a small team of staff.

Previously these clubs were using notice boards to book play, manually submitting member scores to Tier 1 Golf Link and preparing competition results using spreadsheets. We had a better way! With OneGolf these clubs could organise bookings online, manage communication through an online members portal, host efficient competitions and send scores directly to GolfLink for handicapping.

Rolling out this golf management solution in partnership with Golf WA was very well received. Currently over 35 regional clubs in WA are using the OneGolf system and experiencing the benefits. “Together we learned that MiClub can play a strong role in improving golf operations for small clubs that are constrained by budgets. As a company that values the Australian golf community, this is exactly what we set out to achieve” – Peter Maddison.

Looking to the future, MiClub software will continue evolve with the ever-changing needs of the Australian golf industry. MiClub looks forward to working further with Golf WA and clubs of all sizes to develop new solutions that optimise growth, member service and revenue.

“We purchased the MiClub OneGolf system nearly 12 months ago. We have been very happy using this system and find the backup that you get from MiClub staff on matters of urgency is nothing short of outstanding. It does alleviate quite a bit of work for the Captains with regards to printing of cards, strokes take, handicaps, countbacks on results etc.”

“The program has provided our club with a platform to allow all members to register to play without coming into the club to record their name on the notice board. It also allows members to view results of the days play and as a communication tool we have used it to advise changed conditions of play due to weather or mechanical breakdown. As a club run by volunteers, OneGolf provides the director/captain an easy system to create a game online. The players record their own scores and therefore duties are reduced to accessing results and checking winners to undertake the presentation very quickly.”
