Update #8: Friday 3 October
PROJECT UPDATE
The implementation of Golf Australia CONNECT continues to progress with system upgrades to over 400 MiClub Golf clients now completed. (Upgrades for OneGolf clients will commence Monday 6 October).
At the current time Golf Australia have identified slow system performance issues within the GA App, GA CONNECT, and the GOLF.com.au portal affecting integration with all LSP platforms. Some members may also notice temporary changes to their displayed handicap or scoring history during this transition period.
Golf Australia’s notice regarding the system transition update.
REGISTRATION FOR GOLF AUSTRALIA CONNECT – APP OR WEB PORTAL
We have received a high number of support calls from clubs and members regarding registration for the Golf Australia CONNECT app and web portal (GOLF.com.au).
Please note that MiClub does not have access or visibility of this system and therefore cannot assist with these issues.
A member’s email address must be correct in the Golf Australia CONNECT database to successfully verify their account on GOLF.com.au
The step by step guide provided by Golf Australia is available here – Update Member Email in Golf Australia CONNECT Database. These updates must be completed by a club administrator or nominated Golfer Onboarding Champions.
If you have any issue accessing your Golf Australia CONNECT account, please contact Golf Australia directly on help@golf.com.au / 03 7037 0400
POST UPGRADE CHECKLIST
It is recommended that all clubs now completed their post upgrade check list which includes the following tasks:
- Check Member Directory that all members have valid Golf IDs
- Set playing status for non-playing member categories
- Check course details and advise of any temporary course requirements
- Update course and tee marker details on all competition templates
A full explainer of each system check can be found on the MiClub Help website
ADMINISTRATORS – MANUAL SCORE ENTRIES
When entering competition scores (hole by hole) as an administrator, please avoid using ‘0’.If a player has picked up on a hole, use the ‘P’ option. Entering a ‘0’ indicates the hole was not played at all. If more than two holes are entered as ‘0’, the round cannot be submitted for handicapping.
To assist with this, MiClub will shortly introduce a warning message within our product.
TEMPORARY COURSE MANAGEMENT
One particularly important aspect of the Golf Australia CONNECT transition is the ongoing management of temporary courses.
To ensure all course details between Golf Australia CONNECT and MiClub Golf are correctly integrated, please check that all listed courses – including active temporary courses – have a green tick listed against the tee block in the column labelled “DG” as per the screenshot below.
If a tee block does not include a green tick, the course / tee block has not been correctly setup and / or integrated with Golf Australia CONNECT and requires attention please contact the MiClub Support help desk for further advice.
It is strongly recommended that any Temp courses listed on the MiClub Course Index page that are no longer being used are ARCHIVED. Please contact the MiClub Support helpdesk for assistance.
