Existing and New Member Management
Following the implementation of Golf Australia CONNECT and the activation of the LSP interface for MiClub clients (Clubs), member data will be managed as detailed below.
Note:
- A Golf ID will remain with a player for life, regardless of their club membership status or location.
- The current GolfLink transfer method will be discontinued.
- If a member wishes to change their allocated home club, this must be done exclusively in Golf Australia CONNECT.
Existing Members (Joined Prior to 29 September 2025)
- Golf Australia will transition all existing member data from GolfLink into Golf Australia CONNECT.
- The member’s GolfLink Number will automatically become their Golf ID.
- Once the transition is complete, MiClub will only update name and DOB changes via the interface to Golf Australia CONNECT.
- All other updates (e.g., email address, personal details) must be managed directly by the member via golf.com.au or the club directly in Golf Australia CONNECT.
- If an existing member wants to access their handicap details and does not currently have a GolfLink login :
-
- A club administrator can log in to the Golf Australia CONNECT portal and add the member’s email address.
- The member can then use their Golf ID and registered email address to complete the registration process via golf.com.au.
New Member Creation (From Go-Live)
When a new golfing member is created in MiClub*, the following details are automatically transferred via the interface to Golf Australia CONNECT, activating their Golf ID:
- First Name
- Surname
- Gender
- Club
- Postcode
- Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
- Email Address (required – by default, the club’s email will be pre-populated, this can be replaced with the members personal email, subject to the club confirming they have received consent from the member as per the Privacy Laws)
-
- If the member does not wish to access golf.com.au or the Golf Australia app, no action is required.
- If the member does want to access to golf.com.au or the Golf Australia app, the club must record their personal email and manage consent for sharing details with Golf Australia. The member can then register using their Golf ID and email.
*Includes members created in external membership systems such as Northstar / MiMembership which are passed into MiClub Golf.
