Introduction

This document defines the hardware and software requirements for local club devices connected to the MiClub Golf, OneGolf and membership management system (MiMembership).

MiClub will only support systems where the devices meet the specifications in this document.

Clubs with devices that do not meet these specifications may be charged by MiClub to provide support for issues raised when using these devices.

Computers

Windows PC’s are used for player registration, card scanning, card printing, membership module installation and club leaderboard displays.

 

PC’s should have the following as a minimum:

  • Intel dual core processor or higher
  • Memory (RAM) 4GB
  • Hard disk drive of 250 GB or larger
  • Windows 10
  • 64-bit operating system

 


MiClub Golf and OneGolf

The following configuration needs to be used, depending on the use of the PC:

Scanner PC

  • Local administrator rights on the computer.
  • Google Chrome in Kiosk mode
  • Windows updates to automatically update outside of competition times
  • PC to restart at least once per week
  • PC must remain powered on one day per week, to ensure Windows updates are installed.
  • Max Power performance
  • Bluetooth settings disabled
  • Up-to-date USB Driver
  • Touch settings, only single touch enabled. Multi-touch and panning disabled.
  • MiClub ScreenConnect loaded and enabled
  • Un-used icons removed from desktop and windows toolbar
  • Anti-Virus program not removing items in the C:\golfautoscore folder and not performing a scan during competition times
  • Anti-Virus program must not remove persistent cookies.
  • Ability to download .exe files and unzip/run to install the scanning software.

Printer PC

Proshop

  • Preferred browser for printing is Google Chrome.
  • Windows updates to automatically update outside of competition times.
  • PC to restart at least once per week.
  • PC must remain powered on one day per week, to ensure Windows updates are installed.
  • No Anti-virus program or Server interfering with card printing.
  • Anti-Virus program must not remove persistent cookies.
  • Ability to download .exe files and unzip/run to install the printing software.

Registration PC

  • Local administrator rights on the computer.
  • Google Chrome in Kiosk mode
  • Windows updates to automatically update outside of competition times.
  • PC to restart at least once per week.
  • PC must remain powered on one day per week, to ensure Windows updates are installed.
  • Max Power performance
  • Bluetooth settings disabled

Leaderboard PC

  • A dedicated PC or Laptop should be used to connect to a TV using an RGB, HDMI or VGA cable. A chromecast device or similar maybe used to display leaderboards on TV.

Printers

The following printers are the only printers that have been validated for use with the MiScore card scanning systems. Other printers are not supported.

 

MiScore

  • HP E50145DN
  • Samsung SL-3820ND (Low Volume)

Networked printer/s must be assigned and configured with a static IP address, unless connected via USB printer cable.

Internet Speed

  • An Internet connection with a minimum speed of 6 Mbps is required.

Regular Maintenance

To ensure the ongoing reliability of the golf management system, the following regular maintenance is required:

Printers

  • Service Annually

Note also that MiClub must approve any scanner, printer and PC setting changes before they are made.

Scorecards

All Scorecards for use with the MiScore system must be purchased from MiClub. Under no circumstances can any other cards be used.
