The Future of Member Communications

Everyone knows that YouTube is a great way to try your chances at becoming an Internet superstar. But what about using YouTube  to engage your membership.

Members at 13th Beach receive a fortnightly vodcast news from manager Anthony Masters together with a key member of the staff. The Vodcast runs for two minutes and has been very well received by members. Click here for MiClub's  'how to guide'on vodcasting.

Portal Upgrade

The members portal page is the first page a member views when logging onto the site and is therefore the most important page for member communication.

A new portal page has been developed to help with communication which includes features such as Tab News Items, Sliding Accordion Panels, Promotional Fading News, and RSS Feeds.

Promotion Box : It moves, it is colourful, and is sure to grab the attention of your members. Fading news items can be used to promote coming events or important club news items. See example on the header of this page top left

Tab News: arrange your news items into relevant categories. Instead of scrolling, scrolling, srcolling down the page to read all of the news items, Tab News allows members to click on different news sections such as Clubnews, Captains News, Course News without excessive scrolling.

Accordion Panels: save space by folding up those panels that don't need to be visible all the time.
My Details, My Bookings, My Playing Partners or add in your own custom panel. Use the space you save for headline news.

Headline News: Save space by intoducing the news story with a headline and leading text. Then link to a full page for the rest of the news item.

RSS Feeds: What is RSS? An RSS file contains details of the latest items available at a website, to help you keep up to date without having to check the site itself. Popular RSS fees include golf news, sports, newspaper headlines etc. Embed a feed that your members have an interest in - like PGA scores
